On the House Floor: Putting Patients Back in Control of Health Care
On Friday, I delivered remarks on the House floor exposing how Obamacare drove up costs while stripping patients of real choice. I made the case for a patient-first alternative that replaces mandates and middlemen with transparency, competition, and control so that health care finally works for the people paying the bills.

Letter to Leadership: Stop the Subsidies. Start Real Reform.
I co-signed a letter led by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ-05) urging House leadership to draw a clear line on health care and reject efforts to prop up the failing Affordable Care Act with more subsidies and bailouts for insurance companies.
The letter makes clear that Republicans already have serious reforms ready for a vote and calls on the House to act now to put patients—not bureaucrats or insurance companies—back in charge of health care.

EER Subcommittee Hearing on Lowering Healthcare Costs
On Wednesday, I chaired a joint hearing of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs and the Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services titled “Lowering the Cost of Health Care: Technology’s Role in Driving Affordability.”
I discussed how the Inflation Reduction Act and the Biden administration’s regulatory agenda have increased costs and placed new burdens on patients and providers. The hearing highlighted how innovations such as telehealth, 3D printing, artificial intelligence and wearable health technologies are already improving efficiency, expanding access to care and reducing costs

Cybersecurity Subcommittee Hearing on Combating Human Trafficking
On Thursday, the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation held a hearing titled “Using Modern Tools to Counter Human Trafficking.”
The hearing examined how technology is being used to identify human trafficking and protect children, including how artificial intelligence can analyze hundreds of data points from missing-child reports and online activity to flag trafficking indicators that would otherwise be missed. It also addressed why traffickers operate openly online to reach vulnerable children and how information can be shared with law enforcement in a way that stops criminal activity while protecting victims’ privacy.

Common-Sense Permit Reform Passes Through the House
On Thursday, the House passed the Promoting Efficient Review for Modern Infrastructure Today (PERMIT) Act, which included my bill, the Judicial Review Timeline Clarity Act.
For too long, activist groups have abused the courts to delay infrastructure projects long after permits were issued. My bill puts a hard 60-day deadline on these lawsuits so that communities can build, workers can get to work, and projects can move forward without being tied up in endless litigation.

House Passes Legislation to Lower Electricity Costs
House Republicans passed legislation aimed at lowering energy costs for American families by cutting regulatory red tape, improving energy reliability and advancing critical infrastructure projects. After years of rising costs under the Biden administration, the bills focus on repealing burdensome regulations, strengthening supply chains and modernizing the permitting process for natural gas pipelines to deliver more affordable and dependable energy.

Weaponized Podcast: Inside Congress’s Fight for UAP Transparency
On Wednesday, I joined Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp on their podcast, Weaponized, alongside Reps. Tim Burchett (R-TN-02) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL-13). The discussion focused on our work on the Declassification of Federal Secrets Task Force and two congressional hearings examining unidentified anomalous phenomena. The effort is aimed at ensuring Americans have access to information funded by their tax dollars and increasing transparency around matters the federal government has kept from public view.
