Secure America Act Funds Border Security Through Fiscal Year 2029
On Wednesday, the House followed suit with the Senate in passing the Secure America Act, providing long-term funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other homeland-security operations through the end of Fiscal Year 2029. The legislation follows months of delays and failed negotiations in the Senate over funding for border security and immigration enforcement.
These functions should have been funded through the regular appropriations process rather than requiring a separate reconciliation package. Instead, Democrats repeatedly blocked efforts, forcing Republicans to use reconciliation to advance the measure. With border security funding now in place through 2029, Congress must shift its focus to other priorities, including affordability, spending cuts, and economic growth.

Fresh Freedom Episode 71: A Win on the Field, A Fight in Congress
On the latest episode of Fresh Freedom, longtime conservative strategist Paul Teller joined us following another Republican victory in the Congressional Baseball Game. We discussed how the annual tradition helps build relationships across Congress and why those connections still matter in an increasingly divided Washington. The conversation then shifted to the Secure America Act, the missed opportunities of Reconciliation 2.0, and the growing push for a healthcare-focused Reconciliation 3.0 package.

UAP Press Conference: The Era of "Trust the Process" Is Over
On Tuesday, I joined fellow members of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets to call for greater transparency and accountability from a federal bureaucracy that has grown far too comfortable operating in the shadows. We discussed ongoing efforts to obtain records, videos, and testimony related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and the need to protect whistleblowers who have risked their careers and reputations to come forward.
For decades, Americans have been told to trust the process while questions went unanswered and information remained out of reach. I called on the administration to remove barriers that discourage witnesses from speaking with Congress and urged agencies to cooperate with lawful oversight.

My Bill to Eliminate Special Exceptions for Non-Citizens Who Vote
On Thursday, I introduced the No Exceptions for Non-Citizens Voting Act, legislation that eliminates existing exceptions in federal law for certain instances of unlawful voting by non-citizens. Current law contains carveouts that excuse certain violations if specific criteria are met. My bill removes those exceptions and establishes a clear, uniform standard under federal law. American elections belong to American citizens, and if you're not a citizen, you don't get a vote.

Six in a Row: GOP Clobbers Democrats in Annual Congressional Baseball Game
On Wednesday night, Republicans defeated Democrats 11-2 in the annual Congressional Baseball Game, securing a sixth consecutive victory. More than 32,000 fans filled Nationals Park as the bipartisan tradition raised a record $3.2 million for charity. The GOP built an early lead and backed it up with error-free defense in a dominant performance.

DOGE Subcommittee Roundtable: Cutting Waste in Military Contracts
On Tuesday, the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency held a roundtable titled "Getting Taxpayers a Better Bang for Their Buck from Military Contracts." The roundtable examined why Pentagon weapons programs routinely run over budget and behind schedule while taxpayers continue footing the bill. The roundtable also explored how Congress can improve oversight of military contracts and strengthen accountability for taxpayer dollars. At a time of record federal debt, every defense dollar should be spent wisely and with clear results.
