Charlie Kirk: His Life, His Impact, His Legacy
Charlie Kirk was a trailblazer in the conservative youth movement across the United States. He led the charge on college campuses, defending individual liberties and teaching a generation of young people how to think critically. He stood in the arena, fighting against the indoctrination in education that has corrupted institutions, and inspired countless young leaders to get involved and take action.
A member of my staff started a chapter at her Missouri high school after being inspired by Charlie’s work—a testament to the ripple effect of his influence.
Our hearts go out to Charlie’s wife and two young children. Someday, they will grow up and see the archives of their dad’s legacy. His murder is a tragic loss.

Never Forget: 24th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks
Twenty-four years later, our nation remembers the tragic events of September 11, 2001. What began as a clear, blue-sky morning turned into one of the darkest days in American history. Thousands of innocent lives were lost in this horrific attack on our homeland. We will never forget, and we will always honor the courage, sacrifice, and unity that carried our country through that infamous day.

Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection
On Tuesday, the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets held a hearing titled “Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection.” I want to thank the witnesses for their powerful testimony and their courage in stepping forward. Their accounts underscored what many Americans already know: Government secrecy has gone too far, and withholding information erodes trust.
As we continue this oversight, I remain committed to ensuring greater transparency for the American people and to strengthening protections so that whistleblowers can safely provide information without fear of retaliation.

Stunning UAP Footage Released: Missile Deflects Off Unknown Object
During Tuesday’s hearing, I revealed a never-before-seen unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) video from a whistleblower. According to information provided to me with the video, the footage shows an orb tracked off the coast of Yemen and a missile being fired, although the launch isn’t fully visible. A fighter jet was called in and authorized to engage, and the missile appears to bounce off the orb.
I want to be clear: this video was provided by a whistleblower, and verification is still ongoing.

Hearing on Reversing the Decline of the American Education System
I announced this week that I will chair a hearing on “Opening Doors to Opportunity: The Promise of Expanded School Choice and Alternatives to Four-Year College Degrees” on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. CT.
For decades, American K-12 education has been in decline, but expanded school choice programs have shown they can improve student performance, increase outcomes, and reduce costs for taxpayers.
The hearing will examine the benefits of school choice, the workforce readiness of colleges, and new opportunities from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. One of the witnesses will be Dr. Cody Hirschi, superintendent of the Reeds Spring School District in Reeds Spring, Missouri.

Water Resources Development Acts Implementation: Review and Oversight of Past Provisions
On Wednesday, the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee held a hearing titled, “Water Resources Development Acts Implementation: Review and Oversight of Past Provisions.”
Last Congress, I secured language in the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) to protect property owners along Table Rock Lake. The hearing gave me the opportunity to ensure those provisions are being carried out as intended. Both witnesses—including the Hon. Adam R. Telle, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works)—were supportive of my efforts to provide relief for families facing permitting and encroachment challenges.
It is essential to see these protections fully implemented so that families at Table Rock Lake receive the clarity and certainty they deserve.

Fresh Freedom: What a Capitol Hill Insider Reveals About Government Secrecy
On Episode 52 of Fresh Freedom, we talk with Kirk McConnell, who spent nearly four decades as a professional staff member on Capitol Hill, about government transparency, over-classification, and protecting whistleblowers. Kirk shares his insights on UAP oversight, how Congress can ensure sensitive programs are accountable, and why declassified information matters for the American people.
